This policy explains how Spray Tanning by Rosie(“Rosie,” “we,” “us”), a one-person spray-tan studio in Midwood, Brooklyn, NY 11229, handles personal information from clients and website visitors.

The short version

• We only collect what we need to book and look after your appointment.
• This website has no accounts, no online payments and no cookies. It uses cookieless, aggregate page-view analytics.
• We never sell your information.
• Reply STOP, or just tell Rosie, to stop appointment texts.

What we collect

When you call or text to book, we collect:

• your name and phone number;
• appointment details: service, date, time, location for mobile visits, and group size;
• for brides, your wedding date, so the trial and tan can be timed;
• anything you choose to tell us so the service is safe for you, such as allergies, skin conditions or pregnancy;
• the messages you send us by call or text.

Health details are used only to decide whether and how to do your tan safely. Please share only what is relevant.

This website, cookies & analytics

This website does not use cookies, advertising pixels or cross-site tracking, and it has no forms, accounts or online payments. You can browse it without telling us anything about yourself.

The site is hosted by Vercel. Like most hosting providers, Vercel may automatically log technical information, such as IP addresses, browser type and the pages requested, to keep the site secure and running. Those logs are handled under Vercel’s privacy policy. We don’t use them to identify visitors.

We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views. It does not use cookies and does not identify individual visitors; it reports aggregate numbers such as which pages are visited and which country or device type visits come from. If we ever add cookies, we will update this policy first.

Clicking a call or text button opens your phone’s own app. Links to Instagram or Facebook take you to those services, which have their own privacy policies.

How we use it

• to book, confirm, change and remind you about appointments;
• to tailor your tan and keep the service safe for you;
• to send prep and aftercare instructions;
• to answer your questions and keep a record of your visits;
• to meet legal, tax and record-keeping obligations.

We don’t send marketing messages unless you ask to hear about openings or offers.

Text messages & opting out

When you text us to book, or give us your number, you agree to receive texts about your appointment: confirmations, reminders, prep and aftercare. Message frequency depends on your bookings. Message and data rates may apply.

Reply STOP at any time, or just tell Rosie, and she will stop sending these texts. You can still book by phone after opting out.

Sharing & no sale of data

We do not sell or rentyour personal information, and we don’t share it for advertising. We only share it:

• with the phone, messaging and calendar services we use to run the business, only as needed to provide them;
• if required by law, or to protect someone’s safety;
• with your permission.

Photos of you are only posted or shared with your consent. See photos & social media.

How long we keep it

We keep client contact details and appointment history while you are a client, so we can remember your shade and preferences, and for as long as needed for tax and business records. After that it is deleted. You can ask us to delete your information sooner, unless we must keep it by law.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, in line with New York’s SHIELD Act: client details are kept on password- or passcode-protected devices and accounts, access is limited to Rosie, and records that are no longer needed are deleted. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach ever affected your private information, we would notify you as New York law requires.

Children

This website is not directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information online. Bookings for anyone under 18 should be made by a parent or guardian.

Your choices & rights

You can ask us at any time to:

• tell you what information we hold about you;
• correct anything that’s wrong;
• delete your information, unless we must keep it by law;
• stop sending you texts.

Changes to this policy

We will update this policy if our practices change, for example if we add cookies or online booking. The date at the top shows the latest version.
